Good Fiction is the new single from Girl As Wave, the project of New York–based artist Marci Elizabeth, and it continues the project’s affinity for dark, dreamy atmospheres shaped around a synthpop core that feels both danceable and reflective.
Built on pulsing synth lines, the track leans into Girl As Wave’s instinct for memorable hooks. Midway through, a spoken-word passage shifts the mood slightly, introducing an enigmatic note before the song settles again into its groove. The deep-toned vocal in the refrain lingers easily, giving the track a pull that invites repeated listens.
