On The Road feat. Joshua Murphy by Dina Summer

Darkenin Heart

After the momentum of their 2025 full length Girls Gang, Berlin‑based outfit Dina Summer continue to come forward with marked releases, such as their latest single and video On The Road, released via Iptamenos Discos. They reunite with Australian multi‑instrumentalist Joshua Murphy of Crime & the City Solution, whose presence and guitar work once again deepens the project’s sound and overall perspective. The track draws direct inspiration from Jack Kerouac’s On the Road, a long‑time favourite book of Dina’s, and channels that same restless urge for discovery, and the Beat Generation’s pursuit of experience.

Rather than simply revisiting their established retro‑leaning aesthetic, the new song pushes it into a more hypnotic, fast‑moving space. It feels like a nocturnal road trip, based on contemplative vocals that drift over an irresistibly enticing guitar motif, as the whole thing buzzes with momentum.

Fronted by Greek vocalist Dina P., Dina Summer operates as a collaborative venture between producer Kalipo and the DJ/producer duo Local Suicide, an alliance that continues to refine its chemistry with each release.

Deeply sentimental at its core, the song suggests that there are times when the only refuge we can claim is the momentum that keeps us going.
