Lisbon trio MAQUINA. return with BODY TRANSMISSION, their new full length arriving July 10th, 2026, via Fuzz Club, and the announcement lands with a couple of punches. The band marks the occasion with two new singles that underline just how far they’re pushing their sound.

pressure/pleasure erupts in a surging jolt of pummeling percussion and a flash of ’00s electroclash, wired through churning, serrated guitars. At the same time, the song feels clean and engineered for the shimmering brink of the night.

Released alongside it, agony channels a different kind of intensity. Visceral enough, it carries the weight of a politically charged outburst written against the backdrop of escalating global conflict. Its urgency is sourced from this concept and seems unmistakable.

BODY TRANSMISSION, co-produced with Hugo Valverde, follows their 2024 debut PRATA, also on Fuzz Club, but the band make it clear this new record comes from a different headspace entirely.

“It was the most challenging and fun we’ve ever had in the studio because we pushed ourselves to write songs rather than just capturing jams,” say the band. “We wanted it to feel heavy, focused, and relentless. We kept the tempo up and the energy peaking – it’s an 'always-on' record.”
