Perpetual Motion by Elastic Skies

Darkenin Heart

Elastic Skies, the collaboration between musician Nora Blöchl and producer Patrick Tilg, return with Perpetual Motion, the first single from their forthcoming EP III.

Drawing on the icy, synthetic sound palette of the Korg M1 workstation alongside restrained post punk and darkwave influences, the project explores themes of alienation and fractured identity within anonymous transit spaces. With Perpetual Motion, movement itself becomes contradictory, expressing a constant drive forward that ultimately leads nowhere. The song lingers in a feeling of suspended time, caught between motion and stagnation, while waiting for a moment of escape that never quite arrives. The track’s punk influence vividly conveys a sense of unease and tension, all enveloped in a dark, moody atmosphere.

The accompanying minimalist visualizer was created together with Paris-based artist Lucie Zawistowski and echoes the track’s cyclical tension through repetition and rhythm.
