Candy Crush takes shape at the point where two very different creative approaches start bleeding into each other. Cel Genesis often stacks ideas until they become overwhelming, then cuts straight through them, while The Body lean into improvisation, stretching sound, distortion, and vocal expression until they reach their breaking point.
On their upcoming album Whole Wide World, curiosity and closeness sit right beside tension, friction, and moments of outright disagreement. The music that comes out of this mix pushes trance‑like euphoria up against harsh electronics, massive distortion, and the physical weight of two drummers playing at once.
The vocals move beyond ordinary language, carrying emotion through texture, force, and instinct. At times, both projects lock into a shared chant that feels almost ritualistic. Built through careful editing and multiple recording sessions over two years, the album arrives November 13th, 2026 on Thrill Jockey, with Candy Crush offering the first volatile glimpse into that world.
