Chimär (GBG) by Kallsup

The tranquility that lives in withdrawal, and also the danger of retreating too far, become the tension that lies at the heart of Chimär (GBG). Scandinavian shoegazers Kallsup confront the thoughts that edge uncomfortably close and the fragile calm that comes from briefly closing the outside world off.

Musically, the Swedish six-piece let their new song unfold without hurry. A captivating bass motif and entrancing vocals carry it into an expansive, almost otherworldly space, evoking their home place as a half-remembered dream.
