Three Stones by Ringfinger

Darkenin Heart

After a few years of silence, Ringfinger re-emerge with a song suspended between devotion and doubt. Three Stones turns religious symbolism into an expression of personal estrangement, capturing the unease of searching for meaning without knowing where it can be found.

The project’s familiar darkness remains intact, but this time it is softened by luminous dreampop haze and an unmistakably eighties ethereal atmosphere. A slightly more approachable side of the band comes through here, but the darker edge is still present, and it hits with full force.

A surprise interpretation of R.E.M.’s Losing My Religion completes the single, reinforcing its preoccupation with spiritual displacement.
