Autumn by Fleeting Colours

Darkenin Heart

Instead of drifting into its namesake season, Autumn, the new offering by Fleeting Colours, arrives with momentum. The band keeps alive the enveloping guitar haze and stacked vocals central to their sound, but reshape those elements around looping drums and sharper melodic instincts, finding fresh movement within familiar shoegaze textures.

The result connects the genre’s nineties foundations with the contemporary approach of bands, citing She’s Green and Smush. It also begins a new chapter for the group, as it is their first release in eighteen months and the opening glimpse of the upcoming Crystal EP, following sold-out festival sets in Montreal and Toronto.

Self-recorded and produced, the track was mixed at Holy Mountain Sound and mastered in Chicago by Greg Obis.
