This debut single is no cautious introduction from UK's Resurrection Men. Holler arrives overloaded and hard hitting, with its distorted guitars pushing at the speakers while caustic vocals cut through the surrounding weight. The result is heavy music with an eccentric melodic streak, carrying traces of noise rock, scorched alternative rock and the more damaged edges of post punk.
Composed of musicians from SANS, Modern Rituals, Rothmans and Talons, the new Bristol band assembled its debut album at speed. After several feverish writing sessions spread across only a couple of months, they entered Humm Studios and performed the entire record live in one day. Early appearances alongside Part Chimp, ARSE, LÜLÜ and Shlug have already tested that volatility onstage.
Resurrection Men's first single Holler now brings all that energy into the open. They give the clear impression of a band built for the long run.
