Argue For Sunlight by Sky Is Alright

Shoegaze band Sky Is Alright find weight inside an ordinary exchange on Argue for Sunlight, the second of three singles from the forthcoming FINITE. What begins as a casual conversation between partners about the weather gradually reveals a darker disagreement over how to face life, loss and impermanence.

Warmth and sunlight come to represent vitality and the desire to continue reaching for something beyond the present. Cold and darkness suggest the opposite, an acceptance that everything eventually disappears.

Soft vocals carry the song’s introspection while layered guitars gather patiently around them. Its restrained dream pop opening slowly accumulates density, transforming familiar shoegaze richness into the heavier emotional scale of post rock. The shift feels organic, as though thoughts left unspoken have continued building beneath the surface until the music can no longer contain them.

FINITE. arrives November 4th, 2026 through Shore Dive Records.
