Decoded Void by Yuko Araki

Darkenin Heart

Created amid a hundred-date tour spanning Japan, the UK, continental Europe, Indonesia and China, the upcoming V carries the physical intensity of Yuko Araki’s live performances into her most aggressive and finely controlled work yet.

“I have always been interested in the idea that noise can become more musical,” says Araki. “With V, I feel I’ve pushed this tension between noise and structure further than before. I think of it as a noise album, but I’m interested to see how different listeners interpret and experience it.”

The album's ferocity recalls acts such as Hanatarash, but Araki channels the chaos through deliberate rhythm, structure and musicality, pushing ideas first explored on previous works like IV and Zenjitsutan into considerably darker territory.

Araki began by composing and designing sounds on a laptop, then routed them through Eurorack systems, crushing and rebuilding the material until dancefloor momentum and outright disorder became almost indistinguishable.

Accompanied by Jackson Kaki’s shadowy 3DCG animation, the single introduces an album that treats noise as material waiting to be shaped, and it is due January 22nd, 2027 through American Dreams.
