Painbox is the second track from new band High.'s upcoming EP, and it shows the band becoming more unrestrained. Following their tense debut single Dead, the band sounds even more eruptive in their new song.
The melody grows until it bursts into organized fury, with guitar reverb, quiet vocals, and loud drums. With a matching lyrical style, High. have established their substantial and satisfying sonic foundation.
High. describe: "Many of our lyrics deal with darker topics of depression and feeling socially isolated. We hope others find solace in knowing someone out there is like them and feeling the same thing. We made Painbox to inspire others to not harbor pain and anxiety. To let go of negative feelings while memorializing the struggles we all face."
