New Zealand-based dreampop artist Annemarie Duff, has created the solo project T. G. Shand after the disbanding of the successful shoegaze band Miniatures. WAWO is the newest single from T. G. Shand, and part of the project's upcoming EP, scheduled to come out in Summer - Southern Hemisphere time.
Mentioning influence from acts like Tamaryn, the new track leans toward the heavier side of shoegaze, still the dreamlike and ethereal aspects of Annemarie Duff's musicianship remain clear. The song was self-produced by Annemarie Duff, and mastered by Bevan Smith.
Speaking on WAWO, T. G. Shand reveals: "Most of it came together pretty quickly in a weekend, then I spent a month figuring out the bridge and how to include my precious Yamaha CP-70 piano."
