Heron is a four-piece musical collaborative project from Pennsylvania's Wilds. Their copious sound, made up of two guitars, bass, and drums, is unquestionably creative and atmospheric, deeply established in the post rock domain, with tendencies to expand into other genres. Moon Data was included on their second full-length album, Sun Release, which was released in 2019.
Moon Data has been given new life by Ryan Osterman of Holy Fawn, who has created a remix that differs greatly from the band's original concept, sounding far more electronica-based and embracing the ways and aesthetics of contemporary synthwave.
The new version of the song feels entirely unique, with the dark synths coming into play, resulting in a completely fascinating and appealing work.
