Taleen Kali is a Los Angeles musician who writes dreamlike punk songs, layered with elements from shoegaze, psychedelic rock, grunge and riot grrrl punk to produce an elegant sound which comes across as charming and resolute at the same time.
Leading up to the band's upcoming tour and the release of their debut full-length on March 3, 2023, Crusher is their last single. Simple and melodic throughout, the song is a streamlined shoegazer which inspires memories of the most lively moments of bands like Ride, Lush, and Chapterhouse, among others.
Taleen Kali offers commentary and additional information about the new song: “Crusher is our ultimate shoegaze jangle pop C86 love song. You ever crush so hard you’ve been brought to your knees? This song is about all those impossible feelings, taking inspiration from some of the greats: Chapterhouse, Lush, Ride, and Curve. This song has always been our band favorite and it features a guitar solo from Jeff Schroeder of Smashing Pumpkins so we’ve been saving the best for last…”
