The Hamburg-based The First Eloi was formed by two noise and post punk veterans, and a younger singer they met in a green park singing next to the water. The band's full album will hopefully be released in March 2023.
Fall From Cedars is their third single. The song is slower and has a more dreamy atmosphere than the band's previous tracks, but it is still falling into the shoegaze category easily.
The track has an enchanting composition which includes elements of both classic and contemporary dreampop, and comes across as very mellow and whimsical.
