fairfields aim to push the boundaries of the shoegaze genre through diverse styles, evident in all their singles so far. Their latest track, 4pm, is a charming and ethereal shoegaze song that effortlessly evokes a delightful dreamy ambiance.
The band describe: "The uncertainties of unrequited love that over shadows such desire, another person shares the same sentiments, hoping for a resolve. Spring unfolds a blissful summertime, memories of our winter solstice searing through a longing melody, which was once a forgotten dream."
fairfields originated as a simple idea conceived by Ryan Silo (vocals, guitars) in 2020, which later blossomed into a complete ensemble featuring Jayd Abellaneda (drums, producer) and Yani Dy (bass).
