Drab Majesty have officially announced their upcoming EP/mini album, titled An Object in Motion. The new release will consist of four songs and is set to be available on August 25th, 2023 from Dais Records.
The first single from the EP is Vanity, and features Rachel Goswell from Slowdive. The collaboration between these two parts marks an exciting highlight for the EP and Drab Majesty's body of work.
Deb Demure of Drab Majesty comments: "As a long time listener and devotee of Slowdive, a band that literally shaped my DNA as a listener and musician, it was truly humbling to have Rachel offer her iconic vocal stylings to this song. Her voice is a sonic treasure and unmistakable. I'm infinitely grateful to call her a friend and am still pinching myself wondering - how did we get here?"
Rachel Goswell adds: "It’s no secret that I am a long time Drab Majesty fan so when Deb asked me some years ago now if I would be interested in collaborating it was an immediate yes. Honoured to give my voice to Vanity."
An Object in Motion lives up to its title by becoming proof of Drab Majesty's ongoing evolution. The EP showcases the band's sound on the brink of transformation. Notably, the release features significant collaborations with renowned artists such as Rachel Goswell from Slowdive, Justin Meldal-Johnsen Beck, M83, Air), and Ben Greenberg (Uniform,Circular Ruin Studio).
