Tunnel Lights marks Chelsea Wolfe's latest release from the forthcoming album She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She, set to arrive on February 9th, 2024, from Loma Vista Recordings. The accompanying music video was once again filmed in the Eastern Colombian Andes near Bogotá, with director George Gallardo Kattah at the helm.
Chelsea Wolfe describes: “Tunnel Lights is a song about actually living this life instead of just “getting by.” It’s about waking up to the fact that you’ve been languishing in the dark, and realizing it’s time to start taking steps towards the lights that’ll guide you out of the tunnel-cave you’ve been in.”
Director George Gallardo Kattah adds: “Tunnel Lights is a love letter to my country and my team. Being able to pull off something like this in this ecosystem required for many things to line up, both by chance and by hard work. In very simple terms, the video is a portrait of Chelsea looking and reaching out to herself.”
In describing the new album, Wolfe says that it revolves around the concept of the past self reaching out to the present self, which in turn reaches out to the future self, a process considered to be a way to invoke transformation, development, and guidance.
