The latest release from Austrian dark group Elastic Skies is the single Close To Me. In contrast to the band's initial two offerings, the new song takes on a softer and more dreamy tone. Serving as the third single from their upcoming debut EP I, the song explores the darker elements of both synthpop and darkwave.
With singer Nora Blöchl's lyrics conforming perfectly with a softly pulsating synthesizer and a resonant guitar melody, the track gradually builds up and progresses, transforming its atmospheric qualities into something more lively and danceable.
