(I'll Always Leave a Part of My Heart in) Colorado by The Fever Haze

The Fever Haze originated as a solo studio project by Jackie Kalmink in the early 2010s and has continuously evolved since then. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, the band's music combines powerful guitars, pop sensibilities, and heartfelt lyrics.

Their latest album, Moonbow, will be released in on March 29th, 2024, and sees the band, now a quintet, embracing a sound reminiscent of classic shoegaze and dreampop. It combines their characteristic fuzzy textures with layers of synthesizers and drum machines, steeped in delay, and reverb.

The upcoming release marks the band's first collaboration with an established record label, Graveface Records. (I'll Always Leave a Part of My Heart in) Colorado serves as the lead single from the album. It's a fascinating shoegaze piece, characterized by a compelling buildup that showcases the emotional depth of Kalmink's songwriting.
