Hangin' On A Dream by Julia Gaeta

Paris-based American musician Julia Gaeta has released the second single from her approaching EP, Blur Divine. The entire EP blends rich dark pop with industrial textures and passionate drive to address the twisted understanding and fixation that comes with love gone wrong.

Continuing the theme of reflective yet danceable 'unlove' songs that runs throughout the album, the latest offering, Hangin' On A Dream, is a gripping track with a hypnotic dark dreampop quality.

Julia Gaeta comments on the track: "Hangin On A Dream is about coming to terms with your desires, and realizing you may have never had them fulfilled. You’re grasping at something and it slips away, leaving you hanging, confused, wondering. The verses were written on the spot in a studio in Portugal. This is a dual-part song, one that begins very intimately and floaty, and then swells deeper into a trance-like state."
