A Foretold Ecstasy by Mayflower Madame

Norwegian band Mayflower Madame return with their new single and video, A Foretold Ecstasy, the first example from the anticipated third album.

The song presents a mysterious blend of post punk and shoegaze elements, conveying deep emotional intensity. It explores concepts of connection and inner conflict, reflecting a quest for fulfillment amidst personal obstacles. The band brings forward a sound based on a powerful rhythm section, ethereal synths, and guitars soaked in reverb, driving the track forward.

Trond Fagernes, the songwriter and vocalist of Mayflower Madame, comment that A Foretold Ecstasy is about "constantly chasing some elation or intoxicating sensation to relieve one’s inner turmoil, while still being aware that it's just a passing state followed by an inevitable downfall."

The upcoming album will be out in Autumn of this year. It was was mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lots). It will be released digitally via the band's label Night Cult Records (Norway), on CD via Icy Cold Records (France), and on vinyl via Only Lovers Records (France) and Up In Her Room (UK).
