Ρώμη by Kama Muta

Darkenin Heart

Emerging from the vibrant underground scene of Thessaloniki, Greece, Kama Muta is a compelling darkwave duo formed by Tristixia and Sofia Spyridonidou. Their name, drawn from Sanskrit, translates to “moved by love”, a term that evokes a deep emotional stirring, often felt as warmth in the chest, goosebumps, or tears.

Their debut release under the DYSTATIK label is a genre-blurring exploration that seamlessly unites elements of synthpop, darkwave and post punk. The album experiments sonically and also unfolds a kind of an allegorical narrative set against a dystopian backdrop.

One standout track, Ρώμη, pulses with intensity. The song channels a shadowy energy while maintaining a poetic sensibility, offering a visceral experience that’s both eerie and beautiful.
