São Paulo electronic act Nefast Project place Embrace the Shadows in the hands of Digital Drvgs, who amplify its already forceful character into an even more imposing collision of EBM and darkwave. The remix feels immediate, driven by hard electronic rhythms, dense synth work and an unrelenting sense of forward motion.
Digital Drvgs preserve the darkness at the track’s core while giving it greater propulsion, energy and fullness. Mauren McGee’s commanding vocals rise through the expanded production as the arrangement gathers momentum, turning the song into a powerful, dancefloor-oriented surge.
Nefast Project brings together US-Brazilian vocalist Mauren McGee, Chilean producer and programmer Joe Klenner, and Brazilian producer and songwriter Ian Bueno. On Embrace the Shadows, the trio’s international identity meets Digital Drvgs’ instinct for high-impact electronic darkness, resulting in a remix that makes the original lift off.
